June 24thAnother 'oh shit it's nearly midnight' photo. The fellow on the postcard is Charles Haslewood Shannon, a painter who caught my eye in the London National Portrait Gallery. I do like self-portraits. I have a postcard of this one by Sir Joshua Reynolds pinned up next to it.
